About the DHA leasing program
Established in 1988, DHA’s purpose is to support the Australian Defence Force’s housing requirements by providing accommodation and housing-related services to Defence members and their families.
Leasing is the primary method DHA uses to secure suitable properties for its housing portfolio, contributing to their role of providing safe, modern and supportive living environments for Defence members and their families.
Under DHA’s New Builds Volume Leasing Program, Plunkett Homes will be working closely with local developers to offer suitable house and land packages that can be sold to investors off-the-plan with a DHA commitment to enter a long-term lease on completion of construction.
If you have any queries about the terms of DHAs lease or property care contract, call the DHA leasing team on 133 342.

Defence Housing Australia: A secure, long-term tenant for your investment property
What is DHA?
Each year, Defence Housing Australia (DHA) rents quality properties directly from investors to house Australian Defence members and their families.
We have worked with DHA to design compliant house and land packages that meet requirements, and DHA has committed to enter a long-term lease on completion of construction. When you invest in a DHA property, you benefit from having a reliable, long-term and quality tenant in DHA, with a Defence member and their family as the occupant.
